Do-It-Yourself CDO-Camiguin Tour

My boyfie and I spent our post valentine tour in the island of Camiguin that is part of the Northern Mindanao earthquake epicenter with seven active volcanoes and other six that are inactive that is why it is known as the island "Born of Fire" according to our driver. Scary isn't it? On the other hand, it is endowed with natural hot springs and waterfalls to stunning coral reefs. Volcanic eruptions and land movements have created this spectacular island which is full of natural wonders and historical riches. We will definitely go back and will stay longer.

Day 1 - February 17, 2012

On our way to CDO
 Our breakfast for the day
This is my boyfie's price for "Sing your favorite love song contest" in Cebu Pac
Finally arrived the City of Golden Friendship

We went to Macahambus Adventure Park which is our first spot and tried their zipline. We don't have much time to go to Bukidnon to try the longest zipline in Asia but this is the nearest one from the airport. You must walk on the foot bridge and you'll get really scared!

Executive Hotel where we stayed for 2 nights

The Night Cafe in CDO is just getting started!

Day 2 - Day Tour in Camiguin - February 18, 2012

While waiting inside the boat, 2 kids were calling us for some coins.

I'm wondering why kuya is sad to welcome us! Haha!

The multicab that we rent for our day tour

An exhibitionist monkey in Katibawwasan Falls

My favorite spot where I was really relaxed and refreshed! I love the hot spring!

It is really hot in White Island and good thing I have an umbrella and I don't need to rent and spend 150 pesos. The place is really stunning and it has a great view of Mt Hibok Hibok. We had a 5-minute boat ride to the White Island where we spent more than an hour.

I was really lazy that day so boyfie and I decided to take the first station then we went back.

This is called the Sunken Cemetery due to a fatal volcanic eruption of Mount Vulcan

The very very cold pool where boyfie had a dip for 30 minutes

I had some lanzones and buko while watching boyfie in the cold pool

The tour was over so we headed back to the port

Our Angus Beef dinner in CDO was really superb and worth it!
I will create a separate blog for Butcher's Best!

Day 3 - February 18, 2012
Visit the church

Pasalubong for office mates and family
I hate to go back to Manila and leave CDO but I have to. =(

We did not explore Cagayan de Oro that much because we don't have enough time but we are coming back next year for sure to try the water raftting adventure, and will go to Dahilayan Adventure Park in Bukidnon for the longest zipline in Asia. CDO is always on red alert. Police men and bomb squad are everywhere. Hmmm.. Scary but we enjoyed their Night Cafe which is like Banchetto in Manila. Most of the people doesn't know how to speak in Tagalog . If you will ask some locals for directions, they will just stare at you and leave. Sometimes they will answer in Visayan even if they know that we won't understand them and we will both end up with dropped jaws. Haha! Funny but we learned how to deal with it fo 3 days. Anyway they are friendly and hospitable. Over all, we had a wonderful experience in the City of Golden Friendship.
